I have an event coming up soon in which quite a few campaigners and myself are portraying the Savannah Guard. Everyone else that I asked wasn't quite sure so I thought it'd be a good idea to post it on here: would the Savannah Guard have used captured Double Bag knapsacks or a Kibler?

Re: Savannah Guard Knapsacks?
Mike,
If you check out the Keith Rocco painting "Victory or Death" the Savannah Volunteer Guard is shown wearing what appear to be Isaac & Campbell knapsacks and Double-bag knapsacks. I know the painting is not a primary resource, and a degree of caution should be used, but according to the Park Service at Saylers Creek, Mr. Rocco put a lot of time and effort into researching these guys. I have been trying to figure out if I am going to use my Double-bag or my Kibler as well. I have tried to dig up more information on their gear, but all that I have found is that they were issued "the best the Confederacy had to offer." Whatever that means..... Considering it is 1865, I guess that could mean whatever was on hand (English imports, captured fed gear, leftovers). If anyone has more specific information regarding the Savannah Volunteer Guards' gear/equipment, I would like to know as well.
See you in May,
