  • Fatigue Blouse Breast Pocket Construction et al...

    Gents:

I am looking to add some additional reinforcing stitching to my SA fatigue blouse. I looked through several resources, including Mr. Wedeward's site, but cannot seem to find the correct photograph angle to assist. Can anyone please post a close-up photo of both the interior and exterior of the breast pocket region of a fatigue blouse.....original would be a bonus but a faithful reproduction would suffice.

Specifically, I have seen several reproductions and originals that have a double row of stitch at both the top and bottom of the pocket opening in the breast pocket. I assume this serves to reinforce this area to prevent pulling of the stitch with the frequency of hand movement in and out of the pocket.

Lastly, my SA blouse has a checked wool lining and I am concerned with the bottom edge which shows some signs of fraying. Has anyone seen an original with the bottom edge of the lining hemmed or otherwise bound with stitch to prevent fraying?

Thanks for all of help gentleman...it is much appreciated.

    Respectfully,
    Ken
