Site to Purchase accurate pre-rolled cartridges/packages

I used the search and couldnt find an answer and many of the threads are so old that the links contained therein are dead...

Does anyone make/sell authentic pre-rolled/pre-packaged cartridges?
I found one site, however he is sold out and left for basic training so he is finished selling I believe..

Any help would be appreciated.

The above vendor does sell rolled, but not filled, rounds, and personally I have found them to be a bit thick.
The best luck i've had with completed rounds (filled and packaged) is Mike Watson in St. Louis. Nice guy and has a real quick turnaround (about a week or two for a hundred). He doesn't have a website but his contact info is somewhere on the AC.

Yes, I did a review on said cartridge tubes which are nicely made. I found them a bit pricey
but worse, the paper was too thick. Of course, this lead to threats of lawsuits vs the publication that
ran the review, which offered to put 'he who must not be named' in touch with me, an offer which 'he' immediately
dismissed as unsatisfactory. 'He who must not be named' was in no hurry since 'he' "...knew what Mr Barry
was going to say." The old latin saying comes to mind, Vertias odit moras....truth hates delay.

I also got the impression that YankeeTiger was looking for cartridge tubes filled with powder (rounds) vs
empty tubes (cartridge tubes). If you want correct empty tubes to load, they are pretty easy to make yourself.
There is the "Making Cartridges" pamphlet by Patrick Reardon, or see his article on the lazy jacks
website (www.lazyjacks.org.uk/cartrdge.htm). For the $7.49 price of the 40 tubes from ************,
you can buy 3M masking paper and the other supplies to make, oh about a thousand tubes for yourself.

Let me hasten to add that 'he who must not be named' or "the astericks vendor" as a rule offers
excellent products, several of which I have been very pleased to own and have used for years. However,
it is silly to pay $7.49 + shipping for something so easily made on your own for a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for your detailed reply...I am looking for the 'full she-bang' (no pun intended)... I don't see myself having the down time to roll and fill before July. My job affords me rarely a chance to breathe...so I have to make my plans back into the hobby while at work...I remember purchasing some of mike watson's in the early 2000's when I was still in the hobby and remembered his rounds were top knotch..IF he is still doing them I will most likely stock up from him.

I'm surprised USPS allows the shipment of explosives by private parties in the mail. Had no clue you could buy pre filled cartridges! All those years of buying powder and paper and rolling, ahh! None of the guys I'm involved with buy them as far as I know. I'll pass that info around. I'm a drummer now so I don't have to worry about it. Haven't done the infantry thing for over 20 years! I may do an event or two as infantry for the 150th though. If I do I'll buy my cartridges!!

I do not believe the USPS does allow that, but Mr. Watson ships via UPS, which is permitted.

S&S Sutler in Gettysburg, PA sells packages of high quality rounds with various labels for $8.95/pack; however, I do not know their shipping policy. Give them a call at 717-338-1990.

In regards to the www.cartridgetubes.com web site............................IMPORTANT UPDATE February 4, 2011 -- I am sold out of everything. Might do a couple more batches of tubes... and then again, I might not, since I only have a few weeks left before leaving for Army basic training. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you very much for all your business over the last few years. There were indeed a few months that the modest income I made from selling cartridge tubes was the difference between making rent or not, and I greatly appreciate everyone who has bought cartridges from me.

OK I hope I don't overstep the forum rules here as I formerly sold the tubes mentioned earleir but I have a difficult time understanding how $7.50 for proper hand tied tubes when incorrect machine ones are sold for about $10 per 100 is considered pricey. I know it takes me about 45 minutes to cut the paper and tie about 40 tubes myself and I don't think I could make a living at $10 per hour. Now those tubes were produced at the request of customers as I am the one who broached the subject at the time and suggested he offer them. I know that I sold out at almost every event I went to. THese were developed as a convenience item for those who needed them in short notice. Yes it is cheaper to make them yourself but so is almost everything in our hobby. As to the paper being thick, thiese were likely the very first production of them as I believe the paper was changed soon after the initial run was made. Now as far as cost if you want to take a short cut he also offers a kit of the paper already cut to pattern for $1.50 and you can take the time to roll and tie them yourself.

Robert, I agree on all counts. First, I hate rolling rounds so anything that can save me some time and effort makes me happy. $7.49 for 40 seems very reasonable to me for something much better then paperladies and to pay someone for something I dislike to do. Second, I have ordered these a couple times from him. The first were thicker paper then the batch I received the last time which are perfect, I believe. Once I use those up I will order more from him.
