  • Officer's Field Desk

    Gentlemen and Ladies,

Today, I came into possession of what I believe (%95) to an authentic desk. It is solid. no splits or cracks. the original front cover/writing surface is missing. My furniture restorer can fabricate one. It is unmarked, but i didn't look underneath.

Does anyone have any idea of value? I have seen repros from $275 all the way to $4600 (that one is REALLY SHARP!). But I have absolutely no idea about the price on a "real deal" piece.

    Any input would be helpful.

    Thank you in advance!

Find an antique dealer or auctioneer near you and pay the small apprasal fee. It may be money well spent. And, you'll have something official just in case you feel the need to insure your new found gem.
