Hello all,
Lately I have been trying to find a good, period references and examples for what a gum blanket or painted blanket might look like. Photographs are of limited help, or at least the one's I have found, as they are often taken from a distance and said blanket is either rolled or covered, which obscures important details like grommet spacing and the presence of reinforcing. The modern reproductions I have handled I do not tend to trust because of their sources, but I have nothing to compare to or to judge from. Any references or advice on this subject would be much appreciated.
