  • 1816 Springfield Musket.

Does anyone know how accurately made is the one sold by Middlesex Village Trading Company?

I could pay for a original, but I would be shattered if I destroyed a piece of history.

    Thank you,

In my personal opinion...junk from India. Do a search on the forum for others' opinions.

Buy and original and take care of it. I bought one and I'm glad I did.

It does not meet any minimum standard. Saw one this weekend and had the chance to examine it. It looks nothing at all like a M1816.

I'll echo the sentiments shared here. Having purchased a Middlesex repro back several years ago, I can speak from experience that you will instantly regret it the moment you see it. I bought the brown bess and the teak wood just disgusts me, to be honest. And it is from India. Don't buy.
