Friends:
Are original private-purchase Federal forage caps always marked with a maker's label?
Any originals observed without markings (similar to unmarked contract caps)?
Have paper labels (marker's name/address, etc) been observed in any orginal private-purchase caps? If so, what has been observed please?
Did individual tailors/hat makers (other than the large suppliers such as Horstmann, etc) make forage caps? If so, did the smaller firms mark their headwear?
Many thanks for any input.
Bob
