    On Picket Near Yorktown, VA., April 15.

    ... We left Old Point and crossed over to Hampton on the 24th, where we were treated to a battalion drill, or company drill, in the morning, and a brigade drill in the afternoon, and a dress parade after that. Roll call eight times a day and short allowance. ...
