Any other use of Royal blue imported cloth?

Was the imported royal blue cloth that we see used for trousers made into any other items? Kepis? Jacket trim? Jim Hensley

I don't have my copy of the MOC catalog with me at the present time but I believe that there are several military vests made of CS Sky/Royal blue, all if my memory serves being from officers. One or more of these may also be shown in EOG. I am not personally aware of other examples of types of clothing made from blue English or domestically manufactured cloth but there certainly could be some.

Attached is a photo detailing the collar of Lt. Francisco Moreno's uniform coat (Co. A, Orleans Guard Battalion LA Infantry) which appears to be cut from an enlisted-grade royal blue kersey. The cuff facings are cut from the same material.

What fabric is the body of that coat? Satinette maybe?

I would say that the body is cut from wool/cotton satinette.
