  • New Hampshire Frock

I need a little help. Ive performed the search function and couldn't find an earlier thread.

I'm in the process of researching and creating a new hampshire style frock coat. I have the plan of the exterior down and well researched. I am looking for better information as to the liner material used in the coats. I'm familiar with how your generic enlisted frock coat was lined, but I'm having a difficult time figuring out if the new hampshire frock was lined the same.

Does anyone have any information as to how these were done? I'd love to take a look at an original NH Frock but my understanding is that they are all in private collections and very rare. Troiani had one in his collection (the coat from echoes of glory) and advised its fully lined in a polished cotton lining, including the skirts. He couldnt remember if the coat had a quilted/padded front like other enlisted frock coats.

I'm going with the style typical of the fifth and sixth regiments. Does anyone know where an original may be found for examples. Or, if pictures of the lining of these coats may be found.
