I am looking for the 56th OVI's Corps badge. I know until July 1863, they were the 2nd Brigade, 12th Division, XIII Corps of Army of the Tenn. Then they were 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, XIII Corps, Department of the Tennessee, to August 1863. I can't find their Corps badge they would have used. Thanks for your time.

A quick look at Plate 175 (CLXXV) in the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies , shows that the XIII Corps did not adopt a corps badge.

Looking at their assignments they were never in a posting that had a corps badge. Looks like they spent the last year of the war in the New Orleans garrison.
