  • Early Uniform, South Carolina 1st Battalion Sharpshooters?

I understand the later uniform (from March 1863) was most likely a cadet gray Richmond Depot II shell jacket and butternut trousers, but I can find no documentation for the earlier uniform. Does anyone have any leads for me? The unit was formed in Columbia, S.C. in June of 1862. Thanks.

Since all companies served exclusively in SC , I would "guess" local home spun and /or Charleston Depot uniforms, equipment.
