I am looking for a copy of a Soldiers Pay Receipt. I have done a search through Google but have found nothing. We are a Unit in Germany and would like to produce our own Soldier Pay Receipts. Can anyone help out with this or point us in the direction of where to look?

There were many other documents related to pay, though, including bounty receipts and allotment forms. These you might be able to find on auction house sites that trade in original documents.
Some of the paperwork out there relating to bounties is pretty surprising. Each state had their own system in addition to the federal government's. The attached, for example, is a copy of a claim and receipt for a bounty paid to a loyal slaveholder in Maryland for freeing a slave so the latter could enlist in the US army...
The Army Regulations have forms as well, but most of these relate to the paymaster's accounts.Michael A. Schaffner
