I recently stumbled upon an article about an original wheel hat supposedly worn by early war Virginian militias. I was curious if anyone knew anymore information about it? I am heavily interested. The hat appears to be made out of english broadcloth lined with polished linen with an enameled leather brim and tarred chinstrap that's purely cosmetic. I've attached a link below, thank you!
