Where can I find some references to makers of tooth powder in the Northeast during the War? The search engine yielded no results.

    Hello,

If you're looking for these makers because you want to put labels on some tooth powder, save yourself some trouble.

John, Maki, of Maki's Boxes and Mercantile, in Missouri, makes some excellent labels for tooth powder tins. I've used them myself. The problem really is that all original tooth powder containers that I've seen (and I'm certainly no definitive expert on the matter) are porcelain containers. And on these, the label was actually baked into the top and was not applied to the top.

If you want to go with a tin or some other container, just get some labels from John. I got this address from some unit's website, I can't guarantee that it's a good address or phone.
