National Tribune

I have a set of references to articles and letters in the National Tribune (the organ of the GAR and predecessor to Stars and Stripes)
I would like to find a set of the microfilms or paper somewhere closer to home (the Chicago area). The closest set seems to be in Madison, Wisconsin. If someone can point me to a set some what closer to home I would be very thankful. Otherwise I'll fill the tank with gas and head on up with the other weekenders from Illinois to stay a day or two by Bucky Badger.

I suggest calling your local library and asking for the interloan librarian. Your library can order the Tribune on microfilm and get it on loan from another institution. I've been very successful in doing this with both large and small libraries.
