I don't think this has been addresses on here before...
Does anyone know if there is a good place to get a repro key wind pocket watch?
I have looked and cannot find any place to get one and still being in school I don't have the money to buy an original...
    Any word would be appreciated.

    Travis,

To my knowledge there is no one that I know of that is reproducing a so called period correct key wind reproduction. The best you can do if you can't afford an original is try to buy a new pocket watch that comes as close as you can (size, correct roman numerals etc.) to the originals. If you can put one on a good period chain (hang a key off it) that's about as good as you'll get.

          Travis,

If you want a period chain check out ebay. They have a tendency to come from the UK and are pricy on average 60 to 80 bucks. If you are vigilent however, you can bag one for a good price. I got one (US based) at the "Buy It Now" price of 37 dollars, so they can be had for a reasonable price. Be patient and keep watching ebay.

Perhaps you should also check ebay.de although in German you will find many period watches for much less than you would have to pay in the US.
