I inherited from a friend a repro (not sure by who) Richmond Gray forage cap with a McDowell brim. I was wondering if these were ever used in numbers by the Confederacy -- particularly in the late stages of the war (I have a Richmond Depot 3 jacket). Given the number of schlock items out there, I wanted to check on the authenticity of this item.
