I was wandering what the provenance is for the western state shell jacket was as far as the time periods they were issued in. Were they more early, mid, or late war? Just wandering.

Which specific jacket are you referring to??? There were many variations of shells which saw service in the Trans-Mississippi and AOT (Columbus, Houston, Mobil, Penitentiary, Atlanta, just to name a few)...Could you be more specific? Best regards, Tom
