Doing research on surgeons I ran across this photo. The Surgeon on the right is wearing what appears to be either Canvas or Cotton Duck trousers. I know the US Navy did issue a Cotton Duck uniform and I have read that the Army at one time prior to the war had one as well for tropical enviroments. It had always been my understanding though that these made no appearance in the Army during the war. Am I wrong on the trousers the surgeon is wearing? I know that the photo is staged but it would seem impracticle for a surgeon to wear white paints for surgery unless they were so cheep to make and get that he preferred them since thay made easy replacement. Thanks
