I was checking out the Zouave uniform that went up for auction recently. Great pictures. The gaiters are very interesting. I don't know as I have seen anyone reproducing this exact style with the bone buttons and cloth strap?

Check with Chris Sullivan at Stony Brook -- he used to make correct leggings for the 14th Brooklyn and similar units. Not sure if he still offers them (they were never listed on the site) but he could probably be of assistance.Marc A. Hermann

It could have been Stony Brook or Haversack Depot. I think the latter offered them at one time. But, yes, there was someone offering those for sale at one point.Mark Krausz

I purchased my Gaiters from Jarnagins for my Zouave impression. The buttons are bone, not tin; however, the strap is sewn on and does not have a button like the one in the auction.
