IMHO, no.
While I know of several lads who "are," even to the point of having the correct weight and weave of material made and dyed for hand-sewn SA uniforms, etc., etc., I know of no "unit" as such.

There are a handful of us that have put together quality USSS impressions, but as events where we can use these impressions are few and far between we rarely have an opportunity to show them off. Most of us agree that there is really no point in putting together a top notch impression if all you attend are the same mainstream events.
However, in the past we have had a chance to attend the excellent event held at Payne's Farm (Locust Grove) and participate in an immersion event on an original battlefield. We attended as company A of the 151st New York who were armed with Sharps rifles, and were able to be used as skirmishers. Here is a shot of us at the end of the event:
We will hopefully have an opportunity to attend an excellent immersion event on one of the original Seven Days battlefields this spring as USSS, and if you think you might be interested in that I would suggest getting in touch with myself or Brian White.
As far as standing authentic USSS units, there are certainly one or two small groups that work on improving their impressions, but as far as having quality impressions and actually attending quality events with them, only our small mess from the Michigan area does that. Nevertheless, we are always welcoming of folks who want an authentic experience, and have even gone so far as to lend out weapons and equipment to make that happen.
At any rate, I will be happy to discuss this with you further. Please feel free to call me at the number below or shoot me an email.
