Hi. I would be most appreciative if someone could provide information on the meaning of the following markings on a P1853 Enfield bayonet:
"JD" and "SC".
There are no other significant markings (it does have very small inspector's marks - "B" and "R" - on the socket and socket ring). I checked the British bayonet reference site and it had no listing for either "JD" or "SC".
