Hi,
For those of you interested in the above items, please send me a private note at:
markj@purdue.edu
and I will forward Adobe pdf images of the above items scanned from "Godey's." The "gentlemen's comforter" originally appeared in the October 1862 issue and the "warmer" pattern appeared in the December 1862 number. The "neck warmer" is identical to a modern dickey.
Here at Purdue, we now have the capability to make high-quality (black and white) Adobe pdf scans directly from microfilm. If anyone needs anything specific, I can probably furnish it. Again, interested individuals should contact me privately.
NOTE: Be aware these are VERY large scans. I made them at 300 dpi for ease of viewing so they're about 1 meg each!
Regards,
Mark Jaeger
