Wonder what folks thots would be on single and double fall pants for an impression of infantry? I.E. fustian ( linen/Cotton) mix material.

As I know it, single and double fall trousers have to do with the construction style of the trousers, and in many cases are directly related to the period in which the trousers were constructed (of course there are exceptions)...
If your'e asking if the following fabrics; linen, cotton, or a mix of the two were used in constructing trousers...then the answer would be a most definent maybe, depending on the impression; civilian/military/militia, location, time period, and time of year...(I don't think linen trousers would be very popular in the harsh winters of the Great Lakes Regions).
