Gentlemen: I have an original Confederate shotgun paper cartridge in my collection made in Columus, Ga. It looks like a Federal .69 buckshot cartridge however there is no thread tying off the rows of busckshot. The shot is just layered in the paper cylinder (about 14 balls I believe) and the powder then inserted and the end folded in the usual tail.
