Image of Col. S. D. Bruce?

I'm trying to find an image of Colonel Sanders Dewees Bruce of the 20th Kentucky. I've found a picture of him in old age, but I'm looking for something closer to the war or just a little after. Any ideas? I've tried the LOC collection, google images, and our library's Heritage Quest database, which is where I found the old age photo, but feel like I'm overlooking some better source of officers' images.

I'd also be interested in finding out where a collection of his papers might exist. Couldn't find anything in NUCMUC.

Try the Military History collection at Carlisle Barracks.....they keep and collect copies of military images. Search their photo collections.

Also, you might track down Roger Hunt. He has been compiling images of Union Colonels for years. He has published the first two books of his series - Colonels in Blue from New York and Colonels in Blue - the Mid-Atlantic states.
