VRC ranking

I was having a discussion with another fellow and was wondering how the rank worked in the VRC if you happened to have transferred to the unit. If you were a state vol. NCO and transferred...would the rank have moved over too? And what if you were a US regular? Did the rules change? Curious to see what the results are. I haven't been able to find anything other than their service and uniforms.

Wow, what an awesome question!! I have never read or heard anything on the subject that I can remember via militia manuals or army regs. I would love to find out the answer myself. The only way I would go about finding it is an incident that happened and reported via letter.
