Re: Good Website
Sir, yesterday I was searching pages on making do with the natural resources of the south due to lack of so much during the war. I found a 500+ page book by Francis Peyre Porcher titled, "Resources of the Southern Fields and Forests, Medical, Economical, and Agricultural. Being also a Medical Botany Of the Confederate States; with Practical information on the useful Properties of trees, plants, and shurbs:" As I rolled to the bottom of the page I returned to the home page which is also the link you put forth. You're right, its a great site well worth ones attention as a resource to build on. Thanks for posting as I'm sure all should enjoy.Mel Hadden, Husband to Julia Marie, Maternal Great Granddaughter of
