Sir, Ma"am, while looking looking for 19th century "recipe" to inhibit rust I ran into this site. It's a news paper in Mobile Alabama and has excerpts on events of the day, news of the war, a kind of peek into day to day news and events from 1861 to 1863. I typed in "Mobile Register and Advertiser 1861-1863" and it was first on the page. Hope you enjoy as I have, thanks.
