  • Death Certificates for military casualties

    Greetings -

Does anyone know if it would be customary for a local municipality to issue a death certificate when a soldier's death occurred therein? I'm researching a soldier who was wounded in action and brought to a hospital in Philadelphia where he died, and before I send them money I want an idea if it's worth it. Would their honorable discharge-by-death document suffice as such?

    Thanks!
