    Hello AC Forum!

    A friend of mine recently completed his first book. I wanted to let everyone know that it is for sale on amazon. It is the letters and diary of 30th Illinois soldier David W Poak. My friend Matt has a large collection of letters that he has transcribed into this phenomenal work. If you are a fan of Illinois regiments or western theater war history, do not pass this book up!       Thanks for your reply john. D.W. Poak served in the fort henry and donnelson campaigns as well as the march to the sea, Atlanta, and Carolina campaign. I will pass along your interest to the author if he is interested in doing a roundtable in the future. I can put him into contact with you if that is okay?
