FYI.
I have recently learned that H.E. Howard, Inc., which publishes The Virginia Regimental Histories Series and The Virginia Battles and Leaders Series , has decided to cease further publication of its books. Those that are currently out of print, will not be reprinted. Once those that are currently in print are gone, they likewise will not be reprinted.
Both series are invaluable for their information on Virginia units and some of the smaller and lesser-known battles within the state. The rosters in the regimental histories are themselves worth the cost of the books.
I have no connection to the publisher or anyone who sells the books. I bring this to your attention simply as a PSA because volumes in these series are frequently suggested as research sources on this board.
Now is the time to pick up any copies you might be interested in.
