    Re: 69th Indiana Infantry

Here are some items, which primarily consist of published newspaper letters dealing with the actions of the 69th IVI prior to, and during, the engagement at Richmond, Kentucky. I've also included extracts from "When the Ripe Pears Fell," which another individual sent me some years ago.

As for further information about the 69th IVI, I suggest you consult the usual sources: Indiana Historical Society, Indiana State Library, Indiana State Archives, National Archives, the historical societies of the counties that contributed companies to the regiment, as well as the newspapers published in those counties.

    Yours, &c.,
