Hello to all!
I am looking for some additional help researching a Trans-Mississippi artillery unit.
I have been researching the 1st Texas Light Artillery, Battery A, C.S.A. I am looking for a photo(s) of the battery commander Captain William Edgar.
I have searched the US and Texas State archives and have retrieved many personal letters and military papers written by Captain Edgar but I have found no photos of him.
There is additional research on the battery at the Bowen family website at http://freepages.family.rootsweb.com...rsbattery.html and an article written by D. Michael Cobb, Jr. at http://www.angelfire.com/tx/RandysTexas/page57.html.
If you have photos or additional research materials please forward them to me for my research project. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.
The letters and military reports I have uncovered on Captain Edgar I will gladly share if you send me a private email. I have about 30 jpeg files I will send in a few emails if you are interested so not to overload your system with huge email attachments.
