I am hoping to find more info on this apron that I recently ran across. It appears to be hand painted leather (lamb skin maybe) with hand stitched ribbon on the flap border and metallic lace around the outside edge. It appears to be mid- to late- 1800's, maybe turn-of-the-century. As it is framed, I am unable to see the back to see if it is marked at all. Some searching online has informed me that it is a Royal Arch apron, however the handfast on the flap at first led me to believe it may have IOOF influences. I am just hoping that someone who is an experienced collector may have more info for me. I myself am not a Mason, though my father is. I have always been interested in historical Masonic items, though I am not really a collector. Any further info would be greatly appreciated.

Brothers, check out this item on eBay! Very cool mid-1850s pic. Check out the fancy detailing on the apron.

Wow. Sweet images. The back mark could be used easily for period stationery, etc with a little adjustments via PhotoShop.
