Asked this one about a year ago and have since lost track of the file. Am looking for music and lyrics to "Ain't we glad to get out of the Wilderness". My initial reference comes from Tom Howe's "Wasted Valor" p17. "As the 7th Rhode Island reached the James, 'the brigade band surprised us with "Ain't we glad to get out of the Wilderness'". Have seen other references including that of another Union Regiment and a post-war account of the song being used by Custer. Any direction would be helpful. Cheers!
