  • O Lud Gals.

from the Briggs Banjo Instructor, published in 1855. Played in the parlor of the 1858 John Wornall House in Kansas City, Mo.

This was originally a brass band piece. Sorry about the chords at the end.:cry_smile

Briggs knew a thing or two, I think that's my favorite version of the song now. I just enjoyed the faster notes followed by brief rests.

The second one's a pretty catchy tune too. Excellent job, keep up the practicin'! :wink_smil

                Re: O Lud Gals.

Ben, luthier James Hartel made my banjo. It is a reproduction of an 1852 James Ashborn banjo.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I really appreciate it.
