  • Pull the Stopple Out, a comic ballad.

The popular ballad "Coming Through the Rye" was frequently used as a melody for comic or topical lyrics. This version comes from Frank Converse's Old Cremona Songster of 1863. The comedy is from (James) Unsworth's Burnt Cork Lyrics, published in 1858.

The attached song sheet is another version, titled "Coming Through the Camp."
