At first, it appears to be a bad fake, but compare to the drum shown in Hook and Field's book.
Confederate artillery drum. It was captured at Island No. 10 on the Mississippi River and was given to Captain Henry Detweiller of the USS Jenny Lind by a sick Sioldier for his kindness to him while being transported on board.
