  • ID flute/fife?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have two fife/flute like instruments. One is made of wood that I got off of ebay back in the early 2000s; and the other I purchased at an antique store (the man claimed it was a German Silver Fife form the Civil War era, the price made me doubt his time frame).

I will describe the two below, and there should be four photos (Ihaven't mastered the photo attachment on here yet):

    Wood flute/fife
    -Three pieces
-Faded makers mark on head piece and body piece
    -Tread wrapped on body piece
    -Brass key on foot joint
    -Brass rings
    -15.5 inches long

    Metal flute/fife
    -Two pieces
    -No makers mark
-Silver plating chipped/rubbed away to show brass??
    -Tuning slide/knob
    -17 inches long

Being a flute and piccolo player I wanted these for my collection but I am not sure what they are...

    Thank you!

    Ms Contant,

I have also play flute and pic for many years and have a large fife collection. Unfortunately the photos did not appear for me. If you would PM me I will see if I can assist you.
