The Brigade Brass Band will be playing at the Huntington Beach (CA) Invitational this Saturday. We would like to take this opportunity to invite any musicians out there to come and sit in with us.
There will be a short rehearsal at 11:00am, with two performances at 12:00 pm and 3:00pm. Both Union and Confederate uniforms are accepted. (Unfortunately, our music does not have parts for fifes due to their shortage of chromatic notes.)
We have loaner period instruments that you can use and extra chairs. Come and see what it is like to play a 19th century instrument. You might have a different opinion of what it was like to try to play music in the 1860's.
Please RSVP by telephone to 562-761-7320 before Saturday morning. This will make sure we have the right instrument for you to play.
