Is that a Corps badge on his left chest? It is really grainy on my computer so I cannot tell what is showing up on his chest. Can you tell? It looks to be a shield. if that's the case and it is a Corps badge, well all I can say is wow! Department of NC or Ohio? Is that possible? Do you have a provenance?

I dont have the picture yet, should arrive Sat or Mon. My father and I believe it to be a corp badge, too. I will scan it when it arrives and maybe we can tell more about it. Thanks for checking it out.
If you zoom in on the picture, the top of the badge looks to be straight unlike the NC or Ohio badges. Here is a link to an original on the ebay.
