    I must say, that is an AWESOME shirt! I wonder if anyone does living history back east regarding period firemen? That'd be one sweet shirt to have for it!

      I know that this is an old thread but I figured I would contribute since I found these items on display in the Charleston Museum yesterday. The helmet, I want to say was dated 1853.
