Neat! I thought I'd seen all the Kady Brownell photos, but here is another one from Blue and Grey Relics, it even has my first clear image of a young Robert S. Brownell.
Could anyone with knowledge of period photography tell me if this image is from the 1860s or early 1870? I believe that this was from a GAR benefit show in Bridgeport Ct. that Kady was reported to have performed the manual of arms in. That would make the outfit she is wearing a costume as opposed to to anything she wore at 1st Bull Run or The battle of New Berne in 1862.
