All that work to convert his sack coat and he could't get his chevrons completely sewn on! These modifications seem to show up with Illinois troops.
A private collector here in Oshkosh recently turned up one of these badges on ebay. He thought it was GAR and brought it in for me to identify. Why can't I ever turn one up?!Scott Cross
