  • Pre-War Militia???

    Is this a photo of pre-war militia members? I found it online and thought it was interesting. I wish the resolution was better. Thanks!

    The size of the tintype is called an Eighth Plate, which would suggest that it is post war when that format was very popular. You never see this size prior to the war.

      Its hard to tell, but I think they are holding cadet trapdoors.

          The uniform coats scream cadet as well. Wish it were higher res to see the shakos better.
