I've been spinning my wheels trying to find a photo and I just can't happen onto the right combination of words to search for it. Please help me find this photo...it's beginning to be the principle of the thing! The photo I've been looking for online for hours now is one of several men sitting at a makeshift table outside a tent. Several of them are wearing smoking caps and if I remember correctly they are playing cards, seated casually around the table. On the table are several condiment bottles. If any of you recognise this photo by my description and know just where I can find it, please relieve my tired brain and let me know where it is!

Thank you! This may be the one I'm looking for. For some reason I thought the photo was closer in on the table and the men were 'hamming it up' for the camera a little more. I also thought there were 3-4 with their smoking caps on. This one is great, however, and will probably serve the purpose I need it for. Thanks again, Mr. Stinnett!

Edited to add: Eh, do you have the source for this photo? I tried to look at it up close and personal and it's really pixelated.

Hmmm...do those have file names at the LOC? They seem to have expired since you put them on. Thanks for all the help! I can't wait to see them!

Eureka! I found the photo I was thinking of...no cards--dominoes...no smoking caps...no condiment bottles. The table is a makeshift, however. It's LOC call number: LC-B811- 356
I'd still really like to see those two other photos if you're up to sending a title of call number, Mr. Stinnett, because I was really looking for photos of men in camp wearing smoking caps.

Hmmm...could be but it's mighty plain. My understanding is that most smoking caps were ornately decorated. I'm not saying that couldn't be one. Could it be a kepi, turned around backward? It seems sort of sloped and lumpy to our left.
