I absolutely love the watch chain - I wish both ends were visible.

The link took me right there, but it shows in a pop-up, so you may need to turn off your pop-up blocker. Or try searching for Robert Wilkerson.

What I notice right off is his coat... the weave includes the striping common to "jean". The rest of his garments could easily be worn by any man. Nice photo. :-)

Love the multi-strand watch chain with the nice early shepherds hook instead of T-bar. The cut of his clothes is quite fashionable even if the material they are cut from is not. This guy certainly wanted to make an impression of wealth and stability. Nice 1850s era dag.
