    Unusual Service stripes

    Comrades,

    I posted this on a CW image site, but wondered what, you, the esteemed forum think of the service stripes on this mans frock. I have never seen anything like it before, and since we are in the "1864" cycle, Veterans and stripes should be discussed.

    I'm stumped. Looks like they are home made out of a multi colored fabric.

        The image is out of NY, not sure on date, but definitely war time
